Author of You Are Not Alone – Holding Space For Your Heart in Grief, Healing, and Hope.
I believe we are all connected; no one should feel alone in their grief, their sorrow, their hope, their healing, their transformation.
I believe the powerful combination of presence, holding space, and feeling connection facilitates healing.
I believe being truly seen and heard is a fundamental aspect of transformative healing.
You Are Not Alone is an experience of loss, grief, healing, and the spiritual journey that leads to the knowing love never dies. In her book, Debbie combines personal and professional experience as a clinical therapist working with people who are grieving.

"When I was 36 years old, my husband Jim died suddenly and unexpectedly, in my arms, of a heart attack. He had been healthy and vibrant – the doctors compared the probability of his death in this way to being struck by lightning. That lightning strike ended my life as I knew it and thus began the “baptism by fire” that brought me to my new future.
When this happened, I thought my life was over. I thought I would never heal and felt hopeless about the future. If someone told me I would be happy again I would not have believed them. Yet here I am, living a life filled with love, hope, and meaning."
Debbie's message is about hope. After loss, you may not have life you had before; but it is still your life to live.
Debbie has an MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. She is a psychotherapist with a private practice in New York City. Debbie specializes in trauma, P.T.S.D. and grief and loss and incorporates various modalities that inform a holistically based practice including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Energy Psychology, and Hypnosis.
As a therapist, she helps normalize universal aspects of grief using non-clinical language and simple exercises for healing. Debbie is building a community of connection where we can all hold space for each others hearts by sharing our stories.
