Addiction is a disease & we cannot be cured from it. We can however, maintain long term sobriety by working a program of recovery & manage our addiction by not feeding it. Don’t tell me addicts are weak. Recovering addicts are the strongest people that walk on this planet. We are strong because we know that the only other option for us other than recovery is death! We are strong because we fight for our recovery on a daily basis. We are strong because we have to work daily to repair the damage & pain we inflicted in our active addiction. We are strong because we strive to be better than we were the day before & will continue that fight on a daily basis for the rest of our lives. Don’t tell me I’m weak because
