How to Talk About the Recent Violence with Your Children
Simple advice on how to stay connected with your kids.
This is also a time where Parents can talk openly and directly with their children about their values, their faith, and their morals. You can do this by using yourself as a model. Openly talk about how it made you feel, sad….angry….startled… I would use worried rather than fearful as a parent….and what you did to reassure yourself or what you will do to take some sort of action. In these cases, energy can get stuck by in-action. Doing something…even just writing about it on social media is at least an outlet, an action. These kinds of issues come in waves with kids. They may push it away, but it can simmer sometimes and come out in unexpected ways. It’s always good to be prepared. #WUVIP #WUWorldchanger
