During the years of my husband’s illness, when I had several cats and a dog as well (requiring “walks” and lots of litter), I had the idea of writing a book series entitled “My Life is Sh_t”. It seemed appropos of what I was experiencing, every day. Today, I was reminded of that time, when I went hunting for a place to clear out the “black water” and “grey water” of my RV. Who knew how hard it would be to find a place to dump this sludge? I drove more than half an hour to a place that advertised (with my membership, which I have) free “dumps.” I arrived, only to find out that the health department of that town had closed the dump down, since the tank they were using had not been installed to code. It was full of cement, where my sludge could have gone! I love the way the Universe works, however. A delightful young man, native North Carolinian, named Justin, took me under his wing, found out where else I could go, and helped me find the directions on Google maps! After driving another half-hour, I found a functional “sanistation” and dropped my load! Just as with humans who are ill, “elimination” becomes very important to the RV-er! I think I’m actually going to write those books. They can apply to any of us, regardless of what we do in life!
